Indonesia seeks early rice export deal and reports record domestic reserves

Indonesia is looking to secure an early deal to export rice. At the same time, the country's government reports it has achieved record rice reserves.

Minister Amran expressed confidence that Indonesia can absorb 4 million tons of rice from its own farmers. Meanwhile, Bangladesh has issued permits to import 200,000 tonnes of rice.
