Chinese courts have executed four leading members of criminal gangs based in northern Myanmar. The gangs, referred to as the Ming and Bai family gangs, were involved in telecom fraud operations targeting people in China.
Chinese authorities said they have dismantled the gangs and repatriated all suspects from a telecom fraud operation in Myanmar. A spokesperson for China's Supreme People's Court confirmed that 16 people were handed death sentences, and the executions of the four leaders received final approval from the top court.
