Attacks in Persian Gulf disrupt oil, gas, and shipping operations

A series of attacks, including drone strikes, in the Persian Gulf region has caused significant disruptions to key energy and shipping operations. Iran is reported to be behind the strikes.

As a result, Saudi Aramco has shut down its Ras Tanura oil refinery, Qatar has halted its liquefied natural gas (LNG) production, and major insurance groups have stopped providing war-risk coverage for ships in the area. Pricing agencies like Platts have also suspended their assessments for crude oil and refined products loading in the Gulf.
