Putin calls Trump to urge end to US-Israel conflict with Iran

Russian President Vladimir Putin called President Donald Trump and urged an immediate halt to what he described as a U.S. and Israeli war on Iran. Putin warned that such a conflict could disrupt the global economy on a scale similar to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the call, Putin offered Russia's mediation to help resolve the rising tensions and pitched the idea of negotiations. According to Moscow's readout, Putin told Trump how to quickly end the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran.
