French navy seizes and detains suspected Russian 'shadow fleet' oil tanker in Mediterranean

The French navy intercepted and boarded a suspected Russian oil tanker in the Mediterranean Sea that was believed to be part of a 'shadow fleet' used to circumvent sanctions. Separately, French authorities diverted and detained another suspected Russian shadow fleet tanker named 'GRINCH' in the port of Marseille. Both actions target vessels used to evade Western sanctions on Russian oil exports.
