Trump says Israel and Lebanon leaders to speak as Hezbollah ceasefire takes effect

A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon has taken effect, with the United States saying Lebanon has committed to stopping Hezbollah attacks on Israel. President-elect Donald Trump said he hopes Hezbollah 'acts nicely' under the deal.

Trump also announced that the leaders of Israel and Lebanon are set to speak on Thursday for the first time in decades. He noted that Hezbollah is part of the ceasefire agreement, which comes amid US pressure to end the conflict.
