Ebola outbreak in DR Congo tops 900 suspected cases amid attacks on health workers

The World Health Organization reports that suspected Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo have jumped to more than 900. The outbreak, which has also spread to Uganda, is being complicated by aid cuts, armed rebel attacks, and anger from local communities. In recent incidents, young men stormed a hospital treating Ebola patients to demand the bodies of their relatives, and patients have fled after attacks on health facilities. The WHO chief plans to visit the affected region on Tuesday to assess the situation.
