Kenya sees trade growth and pushes for digital economic development

Kenya is experiencing significant growth in its international trade. Its trade with the United Kingdom reached a record high of 360 billion Kenyan shillings, and business with Somalia is also increasing, partly due to support from the Somali diaspora in Mogadishu.

At the same time, the country is launching new digital platforms aimed at improving trade across Africa. There are also calls for Kenya to invest more in research to build a stronger knowledge-based economy.
