Indian student found dead in California and separate large settlement in Seattle case

Saketh Sreenivasaiah, an Indian student and IIT Madras graduate studying at UC Berkeley, was found dead in California days after he was reported missing. The US confirmed his death, but his father said he had not yet received official information.

In a separate case, the city of Seattle agreed to a settlement of over 260 crore rupees (over $30 million) with the family of Jaahnavi Kandula, another Indian student who was killed by a Seattle police officer.
