Russian air defense systems intercepted dozens of drones that were heading toward Moscow. The city's mayor, Sergey Sobyanin, reported the incidents, with figures from various reports indicating dozens of drones were shot down over the capital.

In a separate development during a visit to Moscow, Kenyan official Mudavadi stated that Kenya would no longer allow its citizens to fight for Russia in the war in Ukraine.
