Iran faces domestic protests and international pressure as government claims control

Iran is dealing with significant domestic protests, which its government describes as foreign-backed riots. Iranian officials, including the president and parliament speaker, say they recognize legitimate protests but are taking a firm stance against what they call terrorists and vandals.

In response, Iran has summoned European ambassadors to protest their support for the protests. At the same time, Iran is engaged in diplomatic talks with countries like Türkiye, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia to discuss regional de-escalation and prevent potential military conflict.
