Multiple countries send humanitarian aid to Cuba amid crisis, including Mexico, Canada, Spain, and Russia

Mexico has sent two ships carrying 800 tonnes of humanitarian aid including food and supplies to Cuba, with President Claudia Sheinbaum promising more aid and launching a donation drive. Canada and Spain have also announced plans to send aid to Cuba. Separately, Russia is sending a shipment of oil to Cuba as humanitarian aid, addressing the fuel shortage component of the crisis.
