President Donald Trump has launched a new initiative called the 'Board of Peace' focused on Gaza. The board is set for its inaugural meeting, with billions of dollars reportedly pledged for Gaza, though many international allies are described as wary of the plan.
Ahead of this meeting, the UN Security Council moved up a session to discuss the future of Gaza and the West Bank. Turkish President Recep Erdoğan expressed hope the board could help bring stability, while Pakistan's Foreign Minister Dar told the UN Security Council there can be 'no peace in Gaza without justice.' The Vatican, however, has refused an invitation to participate.
