OpenAI and Broadcom unveil custom AI server chip

OpenAI has introduced its first custom-designed chip, developed in collaboration with Broadcom. The chip, called Jalapeño, is designed to run AI models faster and more cheaply, boosting OpenAI's AI infrastructure.
