Denmark and Greenland reject US military offers and warn over NATO future

The United States offered to send a military hospital ship to Greenland, but both Greenland and Denmark, which handles its foreign policy, said 'no thanks.' This happened after the Danish military had to evacuate a sick crew member from a U.S. submarine near Greenland.

In response to this and other U.S. pressure regarding Greenland, Denmark warned that any U.S. attack on the island would mean the end of the NATO alliance. Meanwhile, other countries like Canada and France are planning to open diplomatic offices in Greenland.
