Saudi Arabia intercepts drones and missiles near Riyadh, with U.S. embassy evacuations

Saudi Arabia's air defenses intercepted and destroyed multiple drones and missiles near the capital, Riyadh. Targets included the city's diplomatic quarter and areas to the east and north.

U.S. embassies in Kuwait and Iraq were evacuated following the attacks, and a U.S. base in Bahrain was also reportedly targeted. The Saudi defense ministry stated some of the drones were of Iranian origin.
