Ericsson announces major job cuts in Sweden

Ericsson has announced plans to cut approximately 1,600 jobs in Sweden, which represents about one in ten workers or 12% of its Swedish workforce. The telecommunications company says the layoffs are part of an effort to become more competitive. The job reductions will affect employees across Sweden.
