Iran-Gulf Talks in Oman on Strait of Hormuz Postponed

A planned meeting in Oman between Iran and Gulf Arab states to discuss the Strait of Hormuz was postponed in September 2026. Oman's foreign minister announced the delay, and Iran said some regional countries had requested it. The talks were meant to focus on a new maritime route in the strait and were to be held without the United States. Iran and Oman said the postponement was in the interest of regional consensus.
