Attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz raise fears of a major disruption

A series of attacks on ships, including an oil tanker, has occurred in and around the Strait of Hormuz. Reports indicate at least six attacks within 24 hours, with some attributed to Iran's Revolutionary Guard.

Pentagon officials warn the strait could become a very dangerous area. A senior Iranian figure, Mojtaba, has stated Iran will continue its policy of blocking the strait, a move seen as potentially drawing the global economy into the conflict.
