Iran conducts a series of diplomatic calls with regional and international partners

Iranian officials, including the foreign minister, held a series of phone calls with counterparts from several countries. They discussed strengthening bilateral ties and regional stability with nations including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Cyprus.

Separately, Iran's defense minister stated the country plans to expand ties with independent African states. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency also held a call with Iran's foreign minister, with talks planned in Geneva.
