Italy's unemployment hits record low while household wealth declines

Italy's national statistics agency, Istat, reported that the country's unemployment rate fell to a record low of 5.6%. This is the lowest level ever recorded.

Separately, Istat data shows that Italian households' wealth has decreased by 5% since 2021, which it attributes to inflation. The agency also reported that Italy's average inflation rate for 2025 was 1.5%, and that the inflation rate rose to 1.2% in December.
