Deadly floods and wildfires cause destruction and deaths in southern Africa

Severe flooding has hit South Africa and Mozambique, killing at least 19 people and submerging large areas. The death toll is continuing to rise as the disaster unfolds.

Separately, wildfires are also ravaging parts of South Africa, damaging buildings and forcing thousands of people to leave their homes.
