Israel and Hezbollah exchange fire across Lebanon border

The Israeli military launched fresh attacks on southern Lebanon, killing five people and wounding 15, while issuing evacuation orders for seven villages. Hezbollah responded with a counterattack, raining missiles on Israeli targets and triggering nonstop sirens in northern Israel as the IDF deepened its incursion into Lebanon.
