Uruguay and Argentina ratify major trade agreement between Mercosur and the EU

Uruguay and Argentina have become the first members of the Mercosur trade bloc to ratify a long-negotiated trade pact with the European Union. Uruguay was the first of the two countries to formally approve the agreement. The deal is a major trade agreement between the two economic blocs.
