Israel and Iran exchange heavy strikes as conflict with Hezbollah intensifies

Israel and the United States carried out what were described as their heaviest strikes yet on Iran, targeting Tehran. Iran responded by firing waves of ballistic missiles across Israel. The Israeli military said one of the Iranian missiles hit Israeli territory.

At the same time, fighting between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah intensified significantly. The Israeli military struck Hezbollah command centers and a financial body in Lebanon, while Hezbollah rockets targeted northern Israel, including hitting a satellite station.
