Israeli Strikes in Gaza Kill Civilians and Hamas Operatives

In September 2026, Israeli airstrikes in northern and southern Gaza killed several people, including a family of four and two children, according to reports. Israel said the strikes also killed Hamas operatives, including a man involved in the 2003 shooting that killed the husband of an Israeli lawmaker, and another top operative who had been freed in the 2011 Shalit prisoner exchange.

Separately, the president of Somaliland said the region is willing to send up to 2,000 troops to a Gaza force.
