Israel recovers last hostage's body, says it will reopen Rafah crossing

Israel has recovered the body of Ran Gvili, the last Israeli hostage held in Gaza. The Israeli military confirmed the identification of his remains.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that with the search concluded, Israel will allow the Rafah border crossing to reopen. The move is seen as a step that could pave the way for the next phase of a U.S.-backed peace plan.
