NATO members discuss security threats and military cooperation

Several NATO member countries are taking steps to address security concerns and strengthen their military capabilities. Spain is investing over 33 billion euros to modernize its military for NATO, while Italy and Germany have signed a new defense agreement. Separately, NATO officials have warned about North Korea having 'combat-ready troops' in the region, and South Korea is discussing joint responses with NATO to shared security challenges.

Other developments include Lithuania relying on NATO to help stop balloons carrying cigarettes from Belarus, and Poland's foreign minister stating the country will do everything to keep NATO united. Italy's Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, also mentioned the possibility of evaluating a presence in Greenland with NATO.
