Israel and Hamas continue fighting in Gaza despite ceasefire talks

The Israeli military and Hamas fighters continued to clash in Gaza. The IDF reported killing a Hamas commander and discovering a large tunnel with weapons, while Hamas claimed it ambushed and killed Israeli-backed fighters.

During this period, the Gaza Health Ministry reported that Israeli fire killed 30 Palestinians and wounded 30 others in a single day. Separately, Israel announced it would halt the work of the aid group Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in Gaza, which the NGO criticized as a pretext to obstruct aid.
