Estonia has handed Russia a diplomatic note concerning nighttime border closures. Separately, Kaja Kallas, the European Union's foreign affairs chief, has called for the United States and the EU to increase pressure on Russia regarding Ukraine.
Kallas stated the EU has not yet agreed on a new package of sanctions against Russia. She also said she will propose lifting sanctions on Venezuela's Delcy Rodriguez. At a security conference in Munich, Kallas rejected criticism of Europe from some U.S. figures, including Senator Marco Rubio.
